The Virtual Reality Lab (VR Lab) at Karlstad University (KAU) supports and promotes research and development through the use of virtual reality technologies.

By providing access to advanced virtual reality hardware, including headsets, motion tracking systems, and high-performance computers, the VR Lab enables students and researchers to explore VR applications across various fields such as healthcare, education, and engineering.

To further promote innovation, the lab organizes seminars, called “VR Fika”, that showcase ongoing projects, share knowledge, and connect experts. These events help build a collaborative community and encourage the exchange of ideas in the growing field of virtual reality.
